This policy explains how cookies are used on novarehealing.com. It’s a short one, because this site uses very few.
The short version. This website does not track you. There are no advertising cookies, no social media trackers, and no analytics that follow you around the internet. The only cookies here are the ones needed to make the site work.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. They’re widely used to make sites function — remembering that you’ve submitted a form, for example — and also, on many sites, to track behaviour across the web for advertising. This site uses the first kind and not the second.
What this site uses
Essential cookies
WordPress, the software this site runs on, sets a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to work. These handle things like session state and, if I’m logged in to manage the site, keeping me logged in. They don’t identify visitors or track browsing.
The contact form may also set a cookie when you submit a message, to prevent duplicate submissions and guard against spam.
My web host also routes the site through a security service that sets one short-lived cookie (__cf_bm) to tell real visitors apart from automated bots. It expires after 30 minutes and isn’t used to track you.
Analytics
I use a self-hosted analytics tool to see which pages and articles people find useful. It runs entirely on my own server, sets no cookies, and sends nothing to any third party. It records page views and referring sites, not individuals.
I do not use Google Analytics.
What this site does not use
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels
- Embedded video players that set cookies. Where I link to a video, it opens on the hosting platform rather than playing on this page
- Any cookie that follows you to other websites

Your choices
Because this site sets only essential cookies, there’s no consent banner and nothing to opt out of. If you’d still rather block or delete cookies, every browser lets you do that in its settings — Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all have a privacy or cookies section. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working properly, including the contact form.
Links to other sites
Where this site links elsewhere — to a video, an article, or a page where a digital product is sold — that site sets its own cookies under its own policy. This policy covers only novarehealing.com.
Changes to this policy
If I add anything that changes what cookies are set — analytics that work differently, an embedded player, a shop that runs on this site — I’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change means non-essential cookies, I’ll ask for your consent before setting them.
